Evolved and solved

Humans are amazing,a truth which is empirical

A carbon based structure so complex it's just a miracle

Physically and functionally we're truly astounding

Transfigured through millennia to adapt to our surrounding

At a cellular level there are processes abound

That maintain our daily function, keep our bodies working sound

Organs and the nervous system and miles  of veins connected

All built upon a blue print which evolution has perfected

The blood, the bones the reproductive system.

Exemplify the wondrous, too many parts to list them.

Though as I sit and contemplate the amazing human kind

It's hard for me to fathom why the mind's so far behind.

That's not to discredit all of history's greats, the textbooks are littered with mental heavyweights. 

The point I'm trying to highlight with my rhyming reflection is the minds of many out there are filled with imperfection.

There are social and cultural causes at the root but the net result is quirkiness in people that you meet. 

Bigots, addicts, phobics, so many traits to list 

liars, cheats the insecure, has you're oddity been missed

Know it alls, the violent and those who have no humour 

All contain some personal mindset tumor.

We physically evolved from surroundings and constraints.

But our minds cannot be left to adapt in such a way. 

We need to build a framework to eradicate sour linking and create a mental structure to shape the purest thinking.

Build values without fictitious parables

Shrink the ego, see all men as comparable

Remove greed and envy change our relationship with desire

Stop concepts like greedy, needy and liar.

With teachings and structures that cultivate things good

Could we craft new mental states like a figure carved from wood?

Could true altruism be shaped from a purer grounding?

Could addiction be removed by a more intelligent surrounding?

What action would be needed to positively affect

Our processing power to shape more intellect

To suppress all the defects previously referenced

And even if we could would that be your preference?

Would you want proactive intervention to affect your children's brains

To create and inhibit all that it contains?

And what would be the side affects of accelerated evolution?

What new and evil deformities could result as substitution?

And anyway who says it's not already occurring

That some panel or other decide after conferring

That those in the hot seats choose to what we are exposed

Permeate our minds, unopposed undisclosed

After very little thought I think I'll take an action 

to helps my kids along start a positive reaction

I'll wield my mind scalpel and make a mental incision

No longer will they watch American crap on television

....there problem solved!
